Microsoft has persistently and agressively claimed that there’s little demand for Java applications. The claim has always been perceived as a disinformation campaign, however it raises a curious question. Is there demand for Java applications inside Microsoft? Wouldn’t it be completely embarassing for Microsoft to discover that there is a Java application that they are completely dependent on? If this were so, would this not break the Microsft vs Sun case wide open?
